Wellington
Arguably, this is the place to be to discover the nation, if not the world’s best flat white - real one’s would tell you it was in fact created here (we hear you Sydney)!
The southernmost capital (and possibly windiest) city in the world, it is a creative’s paradise with laneways, paintings & murals, artisan markets and brunch spots aplenty. A stroll down Cuba Street is a must, with a coffee from Fidel’s, a visit by Slow Boat Records, brunch at Nolita, nosey at some vintage stores before a midday chilled red around the corner at Puffin Wine Shop - and that’s just to get your day started.
By night, the inner city comes to life with eccentric eateries, top of the line wine bars, hidden speakeasys and the famous Dee’s Place for their own crafted fresh pressed green apple and vodka cocktail.
Like they say, you can’t beat Wellington on a good day.
Alas, enjoy my list of interesting places to visit for if you are spending the weekend in Wellington, New Zealand.
