Bypassing the Pedestrian Way of Life

As I sit back in our garden, raking the autumn leaves after a successful weekend of learnings, I come to think that; what is an underlying that helps me find enlightenment?

I kind of settled on this thought; being curious and seeing what is around the corner… so to speak.

Thinking on a harmonious level, after years of trying to find what tunes sat with my mind set, I started to spend my youth discovering the local music scene, from punk music through to hip hop – the endless hours spent listening, digging through vinyl’s, dissecting melodies… understanding how the tune was made from the foundations through to the final touches was something I later sat happy with that I traversed.

Discovering the motive behind the instrument is what really got me moving. The root cause of the idea. The designers, the engineers, the musicians – the collective behind the craft.  This move took me astray from the mainstream path, which is a move I later welcomed gracefully.

A piece that is constructed by the human mind is something we don’t realise is everywhere in front of us. However, going out of your way to learn who the people are behind the creation is the most wonderful thing.

My current state of mind is exploring the magical world of wine, on the natural, small batch and organic scale.

We are fortunate enough to have some world class wine makers right on our doorstep, so much so, they are happy to welcome your thoughts in so they can discuss and of course break down any curiosities.

How the environment shapes wine, both on vineyard and off. The creative process behind planting, growing, fermenting, bottling, label designing. Marketing. The wine industry locally vs the industry over multiple cultures. Performance within bars/restaurants, pairing with foods.

So many, so many, so many under tones.

What is it that gets your mind going? Is there something there you love exploring so much you feel like you need to get to the beginning of its existence?

I’m not telling you what to do, but if your mind is swaying curiously, I offer you to explore the unknown because I guarantee you will meet someone on the exact path of transcendence – as you will just never know.
