The Harada Method

This is a little bit of a self-check in. I tend to write these to myself from time to time, but why not make it public.. and share what I have been working on to whoever finds themselves here with a couple of mindless minutes up their sleeve.

This year I have been spending one Thursday evening a month with a bunch of young entrepreneurs, sharing exercises on self-growth and development, exchanging ideas, and having conversations with ones who have been there, taken risks, learnt from their mistakes and grown into leaders on both the local and world stage.

Our last event consisted in our group leader having us sit back with a pen and paper and learn about a goal setting mechanism best described as the Harada Method.

This is an achievement framework which has been innovated by Japanese coach Takashi Harada, you have your Open Window 64 chart, which in turn you insert your main goal into the centre box. From there you break eight support goals which become your annual steps.. then in turn those eight steps can be extended out for you to note down eight different behaviours that can help develop the annual steps, becoming the forefront of achieving the main goal.

If you are interested in learning more, I am more than happy to have a chat about how I completed mine, or there are some (lengthy) ideas on the concept via the link provided below.
